Have the end-user come down to the Helpdesk with the Google device and power adapter in hand.
Setup and connect both your phone and the device to the Helpdesk Hotspot. The password is Knox1837
You can find Have the end-user download and install the Google Home app from the App store or Google Play.
Turn on the Help Desk PC hotspot.
Connect phone to the Hotspot.
Connect the Google device via the Google Hom app.
Locate and note the MAC address using the Google Home app > .
tap on your device icon
tap on the gear cog icon top right
scroll down to the bottom of that page.
With your MAC address, Have the end-user register the device on this form: http://knoxaccess.knox.edu/registration/GameRegister.html
Wait for around a minute before continuing/restarting the device setup while making sure that both your phone and the Google Home are connected to KnoxTronics2 minutes then restart the device.
Have the end-user temporarily connect their smartphone to Knoxtronics.
Connect to the Google Home device by using the smartphone’s Google Home app.
Complete the setup of the device using the Google Home app.
Follow the prompts on your Google Home app to complete the final setup.Note: This essentially means that you might have to go through the setup process twice, that is completely normal
and expectedOnce the device setup is completed, reconnect the end-user’s smartphone to Knox-Wireless.
