About:

Knox College is currently licensed for 50 active members (users) if ArcGIS Pro. All members must be assigned a license via ESRI’s “named user licensing” process. Members must be created and managed by those with the appropriate ArcGIS Pro User Type. Once created, the members must be made aware of the username and password to login to ArcGIS Pro.

Creating Members and Assigning Licenses:

  1. The person creating the user accounts must have “Creator” rights on my.esri.com

  2. The creator logs in to my.esri.com

  3. Now follow the instructions on the arcgis.com website:

    The new member instructions about 2/3 of the way down the page.

    1. Do not email the new members as part of the process. Provide the information to the new member directly or provide the information to the course instructor.

    2. Whenever possible, import the new members via a CSV file.

  4. Assign the licenses per the instructions on the arcgis.com website:

    1. Assign the AcrGIS Pro program.

    2. Assign all extensions as well.
