How to access Knox AOD (Applications on Demand)
Navigate to https://myapps.microsoft.com/
Enter your Knox credentials to access the applications.
On the Apps dashboard page, click on “Remote Apps”
Enter your Knox username and password
Once you are authenticated, the list of available resources will be listed.
To access a resource, simply click on the application and allow the use of local resources
Saving files in AOD
When saving files in AOD, ensure the save location is your Home folder (named after your Knox Username) under the Z: drive.
Accessing and Uploading Files from Personal Computers
For Windows Computers:
First, make sure your personal computer is connected to the campus network such as Knox-Wireless.
Next, in the Windows search bar at the bottom of your screen, type in \\students then press the Enter key.
You will then be prompted to login. Enter KNOX\YourKnoxUsername (without @knox.edu at the end) and then your current Knox password. Click OK.
After a few seconds, a window will appear with a list of folders. Open the folder that coincides with the first initial of your username. Find then the folder named by your Knox username. Inside will be the folders from your Knox profile that you can use to either save or upload files to Applications on Demand.
NOTE: Your login only allows you to open your own folder named after your username. All other student folders will give a permission denied message.
For Mac Computers:
a. First, make sure your personal computer is connected to the campus network such as Knox-Wireless.
b. Next, while in Finder, click on the Go menu in the top menu bar and choose Connect to Server
c. Enter smb://students and click on Connect.
d. Enter your Knox username (without @knox.edu at the end) along with your Knox password. Click Connect.
e. You will see the popup shown below, click on Connect to proceed.
f: You will see a list of folders. Open the folder that coincides with the first initial of your username. Find then the folder named by your Knox username and then click OK. Once opened it will be an icon on your desktop. Inside will be the folders from your Knox profile that you can use to either save or upload files to Applications on Demand.
NOTE: Your login only allows you to open your own folder named after your username. All other student folders will give a permission denied message.
