Alexa Dot/Echo Wi-Fi Registration

  1. Connect your phone to KnoxTronics Wi-Fi. The password is AsDfGW2481632

    1. Make sure that “Private Address” is disabled when you connect.

  2. Open your Alexa app and add device. Follow the setup. It will prompt you to connect to a wireless network, connect to KnoxTronics. The password is AsDfGW2481632

  3. Follow the rest of the prompts on your Alexa app until you get to the page that says Select your Wi-Fi Network.

  4. Scroll to the very bottom of this page, you should see a line that says Your Echo’s MAC Address Is:

  5. Write the MAC address down.

  6. Scroll back up and connect the Echo to KnoxTronics Wi-Fi. The password is in step 1.

  7. Once the setup is complete, connect your phone back to Knox-Wireless.

    1. Once again, make sure that “Private Address” is disabled when you connect.

  8. Navigate to http://knoxaccess.knox.edu/registration/GameRegister.jsp on your phone or computer.

  9. Enter your Knox credentials, and select the device type as “Other”. Enter the MAC address you wrote down earlier.
