Mixer Guide

Note: Increase faders gradually to avoid any detrimental issues to the system or the audience.

Do not raise or lower the faders suddenly.

  1. Kresge has 5 wireless microphones installed. The faders for these are outlined in gold to control them.

    1. To raise the volume of a microphone, raise the fader associated with it to Unity, or 0.

  2. The 4 faders outlined in purple are the Sub-groups.

    1. These must be turned up before the Master volume to Unity, or 0.

  3. The fader outlined in green is the Master volume. This must be turned up to produce any sound

Microphone not working

  1. Followed instructions but there is still no audio from microphone?

    1. Is the microphone turned on?

      1. Press the power button on the microphone until a green light appears.

        1. No green light appears on the microphone?

          1. Batteries in the microphone are dead. Replace the batteries.

    2. Unmute the channel for the microphone. (outlined in teal)

Feedback

  1. Turn down the microphone causing the feedback immediately.

  2. Adjust the Gain Knob by turning it to the left. (outlined in light blue)

  3. Raise the volume on the fader for that microphone until you reach the desired audio level.

“Popping P’s”

  1. Adjust the Gain Knob by turning it to the left until the P’s stop popping. (outlined in light blue)

  2. Raise the volume on the fader for that microphone until you reach the desired audio level.

Wireless microphones

After selecting microphones from the bin, adjust the faders on the mixer accordingly. Ensure that the main key is leveled up.

Note: Do not fade any key suddenly. Make sure to increase keys gradually.
