The easiest method is to install the Google sheets add-on Email Spreadsheet which automates much of the process.
Get the Add-on
- Open any Google sheet
- Click the menu item Add-ons
- Click Get Add-on
- Enter "email google sheet" in the search box and hit enter
- From the list of add-ons, select Email Spreadsheet.
- Click the Free button.
- On the Request for Permission screen, scroll down and click Allow.
- The add-on will be installed into Google Sheets.

Option 1:
Open your spreadsheet, select File> Email as Attachment.
You can email your sheet as a PDF, Open Office Spreadsheet, or an Excel file.
Option 2:
Download your spreadsheet as a pdf, Excel, or .csv file:
- Go to File
- Download
- Select preferred file type
Select a file location then select Save.
You can then open your email and attach the file:
