Google Sheets - Emailing a Copy of a Sheet

Is some instances, end users may wish to email a copy of a Google sheet rather than sharing  the sheet.  Examples include:

  1. Sending a pdf version to prevent editing
  2. Sending an Excel version for non Google Sheets users
  3. Sending a .csv version for data export purposes.

Option 1:

Open your spreadsheet, select File> Email as Attachment.


You can email your sheet as a PDF, Open Office Spreadsheet, or an Excel file. 


Option 2:

Download your spreadsheet as a pdf, Excel, or .csv file:

  1. Go to File
  2. Download
  3. Select preferred file type

Select a file location then select Save.

You can then open your email and attach the file:
