The Meeting Owl is a plug-and-play video conferencing system. It has a 360 camera, speaker and microphone.

  1. Plug in the USB and power adapter cables into the bottom of the meeting owl.

2. Plug the USB cable to your computer and the power adapter into an outlet. (Preferably USB 3.0 port as shown below.)

3. You should see the owl light up and “Hoot” once connected properly.

4. Start a video call to test your Meeting Owl’s Camera and Speaker.

5. Be sure the Meeting Owl is selected as your video device.

6. Be sure that Meeting owl is selected as your audio device.

7. Let the Meeting Owl load in and you should be set for your meeting.

  1. Place your Owl on the table in your conference room or classroom.

    1. In a small room that fits 2-4 people, place the Owl in the center of the table, at least 18" (0.5m) from the TV.

    2. In a larger room:

      1. Place the owl in the center of the table or on a tripod, at least 3ft (1m) from the TV, but no more than 6ft (2m) from the farthest participant.

  2. Open your video conferencing platform and select the Meeting Owl as your video, microphone and speaker. Now you are ready to start your meeting! Your Owl’s eyes will illuminate when video is streaming.

  3. The Owl learns where people are sitting in the room. If a new person sits at the table, or if you speak, then move to another location and speak again, it can take up to 5 seconds for the video to switch. Switching may take longer the further away you are sitting from the Owl.

For testing purposes, we recommend testing with multiple people in the room with the Owl.
