Step 12: When printing, select the printer of choice and click ‘Print’

Note: When printing with a Mac, the default setting is set to print in color. This means that you'll be charged $0.30 per page rather than $.06 per page even if your document is in black and white on the screen. As such, we recommend that you create Black and White presets for each printer that you set up on your computer. For directions, refer to the manufacturer website utilizing a web search.

Error Printing? “Hold for Authentication” Solution

  1. To resolve this issue, you will need to forget the password for the specific printer in keychain.

  2. To do that, just search for Keychain Access in spotlight (cmd + spacebar) and open it.

  3. Then search for “printer“ in the search bar and make sure you are at the “login” sidebar and under “all items” navigation bar at the top. There, you should be able to see the list of printers you have connected to.

  4. Right click on the printer and delete the printer. This will only remove the saved password for the printer and it will NOT uninstall the printer.

  5. After that, you can try printing the document again and this time it will ask you to login again where you should put your new credentials that you are currently using for my.knox.
