Familiarize yourself with the AV Equipment

Power Supply

Leave turned on all the time.

Main PC

Troubleshooting the computer

If you think the PC is unresponsive, press and hold the power button for a few seconds to force a shut down, wait a few seconds, and then press the power button once to turn it on.

Video Switcher

  • Here you can switch the inputs for the projector

  • Check the cabinet door for the number regarding each input

Input - 1: Not in use

Input - 2: DVD/VHS player

Input - 3: Guest HDMI

Input - 4: Not in use

Input - 5: Document Camera

Input - 6: Guest VGA

Input - 7: Main PC

Input - 8: Blu-ray DVD Player

Room Audio

Note: Make all audio adjustments on the main PC first.

  • Click the speaker icon (outlined in red).

  • Drag the slider on the bar left to turn down and right to turn up the volume (outlined in green).

  • The computer volume is muted if you see the speaker icon with an “x” next to it (outlined in red/green).

    • To unmute the computer, click the speaker icon with the “x” that is outlined in green.

Amplifier

Red highlighted button: This button can power on or power off the amplifier. Turn it on for any audio needs.

Green highlighted button: It is the master volume knob and can control all audio output from all sources.

Bass Knob: Leave in middle.

Treble Knob: Leave in middle.

Module Knob: Leave in middle.

Input Knobs: Only turn on the one that is necessary.

Input 1: Multi region

Input 2: DVD/VHS

Input 3: Main PC

Input 4: Guest Audio

Input 5: Not in use (leave off)

Input 6: Not in use (leave off)

Input 7: Not in use (leave off)

Input 8: Not in use (leave off)

Blu-Ray Player

Sony DVD / VHS

Press the power button (highlighted in red) to turn on the Sony DVD/VHS player.

Be sure the switch (highlighted in gold) is set to DVD/Video (to the right).

Press the eject button (highlighted in green).

Insert DVD/VHS and hit play.

Document Camera

  1. Press the Power button to turn on the document camera.

  2. Switch the input on video switcher to document camera.

  3. Raise the camera arm and rotate the camera head downward.

  1. If you are displaying documents larger than letter-size (8.5 11 inches), extend the camera arm.

  2. Place your document on the table under the camera head. Orient it either way as shown.

  3. Press the lamp button to illuminate your document.

  1. Turn the dial on the camera head to orient the image on the screen.

  2. Press the Focus button. Your document is automatically focused.

Projector

Point the remote at the front of the projector.

Turning on the projector: Press “On” once (outlined in red).

Turning off the projector: Press “Off” twice (outlined in green).

Projector Screen

  • The projector screen is manual and there is a string at the bottom center.

  • To raise the screen, pull the screen by the string out away from the chalkboard a couple of feet, pull down, and release, allowing the screen to retract.

  • To lower the screen, pull down on the string and let go near the chalkboard shelf for full extension.
