With the Xerox 5335 model there is a banner page that prints out every time a job is printed to that printer unless you disable that option in the printer settings. Printers on campus that experience this issue are: gdh2-x and seylib2-x. These instructions are for Mac computers.
Step-by-step guide
- Open the file that you want to print and click on the print icon.
- Select the printer of choice and change the settings in the print dialogue box to match the ones below.
- Copies & Pages → Xerox Features
- Select Advanced from the second drop down menu.
- In Job Identification, select Disable Job ID
- Then, in Presets, select the option titled Save Current Settings as Preset..
- Finally, name the preset something that you will be able to easily identify. EX: No-Banner-Page or NoBanner. Save this option for only this printer.
- Click OK and adjust any other settings for your print job and then click Print.
