When viewed in the Fortinac system, the user’s registration listing will have multiple instances for the Android phone if they connect with the randomized MAC address option turned on. Typically, the latest attempt at connecting will be on the Registration (10.165.xxx.xxx) network.

The Fix

  1. Have user services remove all of the Android records in Fortinac.

  2. On the phone:

    1. Forget Knox-Wireless

    2. Reconnect to Knox-Wireless

    3. Select Network and Internet from the Settings app

    4. Select WiFi → Knox-Wireless

    5. Select Advanced

    6. Turn Randomized MAC off

    7. Navigate back to the phone’s home screen

    8. Open a web browser and go to knoxaccess.knox.edu

    9. Reregister the phone in Fortinac.
