Important: If you have attempted to connect to Wi-Fi by way of the Knox Guest Access network, these steps will not work.

Make sure to forget the Knox Guest Access network prior to connecting to Knox-Wireless.

Connect an iPhone, iPad, iOS Device to Knox-Wireless

  1. Go to Home screen

  2. Tap Settings

  3. Tap Wi-Fi Settings

  4. Tap: Knox-Wireless

  1. You will be prompted for your Knox username and password.

    1. Username: Your Knox Email Username (Without the @knox.edu)

    2. Password: Your Knox Email Password

    3. Tap “Join”

  1. The Certificate screen will appear now.

    1. It will say “Not Trusted” in red lettering.

    2. Select ‘Trust’ in the upper right corner

  1. Knox-Wireless will say “No Internet Connection”.

    1. Tap “Knox-Wireless”

    2. Scroll down until you see “Private Wi-Fi Address”

      1. If it is green, turn it off so that it appears gray.

      2. A pop-up may appear that says “Turning off private address will temporarily interrupt your Wi-Fi connection. Network activity will be temporarily interrupted.”

      3. Tap “Continue”. Back on the Knox-Wireless page, “Private Wi-Fi Address” should now be gray.

When the registration page appears, follow the on screen instructions.

Tap option 1: “Students, Faculty, Staff, and Constituents who have a permanent Knox Account”

  1. You will be brought to the next page.

  2. For your username, type your full email address.

  3. Your password is the same as your email password.

  4. Tap “Download

You will see a page that says “Success. You have successfully registered on the network. Please wait XX seconds while your network connection is established.” with a progress bar below that. Wait until the progress bar is completed.

A pop-up will appear that says “Your network connection has been reconfigured. Please close and reopen your browser.”

Close the Tab and the browser.

Reopen the browser and go to a website.
