Dictation Software for the Mac

To enable Dictation on your Mac,  follow these steps:

1 Under the Apple in the upper left corner of your computer drop it down and select System Preferences

2 You will see a microphone icon in the third row of options labelled Dictation.

3 Click on Dictation

4 Click the button to turn Dictation on 

5 Use Dictation wherever you can type text. Open the desired application where you want to type (word, email, etc.) To start dictating you can click on the fn key on your keyboard twice or under edit select Start Dictation.
