Network Error Accessing a Remote Database

Bad Server.Pem file

If unable to access a remote database due to a network error, consider replacing the server.pem file with a server.pem from another working computer on which filemaker is working properly

The file is located: C:\Program Files\FileMaker\FileMaker Pro 11  or C:\Program Files\FileMaker(X86)\FileMaker Pro 11.  May also be found in the Filemaker 8.5 folder.

Printing 

Problem:  End user experienced issues printing from Filemaker 11.  Output was inconsistent and or error message kept popping up about paper size.

Solution:  Run Filemaker in compatibility mode.  To do so:  

  1. Create a Filemaker shortcut on the desktop
       
  2. Right click on the icon and select properties.  The properties window will appear.  Click on the compatibility tab.
       
       
       
  3. Now click on the options noted below:
       

       
       
  4. Printing issues should now be cleared up.
