Familiarize yourself with the technology

TV Cart

TV

To turn the TV on press the power button (outlined in red).

To bring up the input menu, press the “source” button (outlined in green).

To switch inputs, use the arrow up and down buttons (outlined in gold).

If the remote is unresponsive, replace the batteries with fresh ones.

To change inputs; press the ‘Input’ button (outlined in green). An input source display will pop-up from the bottom of the TV where you can select the input using the arrows (outlined in gold).

  • PC - Main PC

  • DVD - DVD/VHS

  • Screen Share

  • HDMI1 - Guest HDMI

Screen Share

Note: If you are using the ‘Screen Share’ feature, you cannot access the input menu from this screen. To get out of ‘Screen Share’, press the ‘Exit’ button located by the ‘down arrow’ button on the remote.

To connect, follow the below steps:

  1. On the TV, go to Screen Share .

  2. On your PC, open the action menu and click on connect.

  3. Enter the Pin from the TV when prompted on your laptop.

  4. The TV will be connected to the laptop.

Main PC

When the PC is on, the light illuminates WHITE, if you find the PC turned off, press the power button once. 

Jiggle the mouse or press the keyboard to wake the computer.

Sign in to the computer with your username and password.

Do not shut down the main PC.

When finished, log off of the main PC.

Troubleshooting the computer

If you think the PC is unresponsive, press and hold the power button for a few seconds to force a shut down, wait a few seconds, and then press the power button once to turn it on.

Wireless keyboard

Look for the ON switch on the side of the keyboard.

  • The green/white light indicates that the keyboard is on.

    • If they keyboard is unresponsive, the batteries need to be replaced.

    • If the batteries have been replaced with fresh ones, check the computer to see if there is a USB receiver.

Wireless Mouse

  • If they mouse is unresponsive, the batteries need to be replaced.

  • If the batteries have been replaced with fresh ones, check the connection to the computer and make sure the USB is plugged in.

Room Audio

Note: Make all audio adjustments on the main PC first.

  1. Click the speaker icon (outlined in red).

  1. Choose ‘Speakers/Headphones (Realtek Audio)’ from the output menu.

  1. Drag the slider on the bar left to turn down and right to turn up the volume (outlined in green).

  • The computer volume is muted if you see the speaker icon with an “x” next to it (outlined in red/green).

    • To unmute the computer, click the speaker icon with the “x” that is outlined in green.

TV Volume

Note: Maximize the computer volume before proceeding to the next step, as shown below.

  1. Start this process by turning the TV volume down so as not to play any audio too loudly.

  2. Select ‘LG TV (Intel(R) Display Audio)’ from the output menu.

  1. Use the TV remote to turn the volume up or down as needed.

Note: Speakers (USB PnP Audio Device) is not a viable output. There will be no audio coming from the system. It is the Fifine Lavalier microphone that can be used as an input on the computer.

DVD/VHS

To turn on the player, press the power button (outlined in red).

To select between DVD or VHS, press the appropriate button (outlined in green).

To Play, pause, or stop the video, press the appropriate button (outlined in gold).

If the remote is unresponsive, replace the batteries with fresh ones.
