What is Folder Redirection?

A process by which your data is stored on College servers rather than on the College-owned computer you are using.

The redirected files and folders and are also available to you via your personal computer by following the processes noted below.

Advantages of Folder Redirection

  • You may log in to any College-owned PC (classroom, lab, etc) and you will automatically see your Desktop and My Documents.

  • The data in the redirected folders is backed up nightly.

  • Internet Explorer and Firefox bookmarks, etc. are available with your login. (this feature does NOT work with Chrome as the current time)

  • Knoxanyware is "aware" of folder redirection.  Files saved using Knoxanyware apps are save to you redirected Desktop or My Documents folder by default.
