Charging the battery pack
Connect the battery pack to the camcorder.
Plug the power cord into a power outlet.
Connect the other end of the power cable into the camera’s charging port.
Charging will start when the camera is turned off.
Charging Battery
Removing the battery pack
Slide the ‘Battery Release’ in the direction of the arrow and hold it pressed down.
Slide the battery pack and then pull it out.
Relay Recording
You can activate the relay recording so if the built-in memory becomes full while recording movies, the recording will continue uninterrupted on the memory card.
Insert SD Card.
Press the HOME button (outlined in red).
Activate the Relay Recording feature.
Go to ‘Other Settings’.
Go to ‘Rec Media for Movies’.
Select ‘Relay Recording’.
An SD Card is needed to accomplish this.
There will be a momentary stop in the scene at the point where the camcorder switches from one memory to another.
Any of the following will deactivate the relay recording function:
Turning off the camcorder.
Opening the memory card slot cover.
Changing the camcorder’s operating mode.
Changing the memory used for recording modes.
Selecting the Memory
You can select to record your movies and photos in the built-in memory or on an SD card. The default memory for recording both is the built-in memory.
To select Memory:
Press the HOME button (outlined in red).
Go to ‘Other Settings’.
Go to ‘Rec Media for Movies’.
Select between SD Card or Built-in Memory.
Wipe out Internal Storage
Open the index screen that contains the scene or photo you want to delete.
Delete the recordings.
Go to Edit
Click on Delete
Click on ‘All Scenes’
Click on ‘Yes’
Change recording time
To change recording time in the camera, you need to change the recording quality of the video.
Conventionally, video quality is classified into following categories.
35mbps - 1hr 56 mins
24mbps - 2hr 52 mins
17mbps - 4hr 2 mins
4 mbps - 16hr 45mins
It is recommended that you use 35mbps and 24mbps to get a decent quality and time limit.
Click on home icon (outlined in Red).
Click on Recording setup (outlined in Red).
Click on video quality (outlined in green)
After clicking the video quality, select the desired video quality.
Relay Recording

Turn off Demo Mode
To turn of the demo mode, click on the home icon (outlined in red).
Go to other settings other settings (outlined in green).
Click on 2nd tab and scroll all the way down and click on ‘Demo Mode’.
Click on ‘off’ option to turn off the demo mode.
Recording without external Audio
Recording without external Audio is same as recording a normal video. Ensure that there is no earphone plugged into the video camera.
Date Correction
To correct the date, click on the home icon (outlined in red).
Go to other settings other settings (outlined in green).
Click on 3rd tab and scroll until you find Date/Time.
Under Date format, ‘select M.D.Y’.
Now, you can select the date fields that you wish to edit and use the arrows to scroll through the time or month.
Time Zone Correction
To turn of the demo mode, click on the home icon (outlined in red).
Go to other settings (outlined in green).
Click on 3rd tab and scroll until you find Time Zone/DST.
The screen will show two fields:
One with Home icon.
One with Plane icon.
Click on the home icon.
Use the arrows to change the time zone.
How to use headphones and listen live
To use headphones, click on the home icon (outlined in red).
Go to other settings (outlined in green).
Click on 3rd tab and scroll until you find 'AV/Headphones'.
Upon clicking, you will see two options:
AV
Headphones
Click on Headphones.
Notification Sound
To use headphones, click on the home icon (outlined in red).
Go to other settings (outlined in green).
Click on 3rd tab and scroll until you find 'Notification Sounds'.
Upon clicking, you will see two options:
High Volume
Low Volume
Off
Click on 'Low Volume'.
Use External Microphone
To use external microphone, ensure that the Lavalier Microphone is plugged into the ‘Mic port’ on the camera. Once plugged in, you can record the video and the Lavalier Microphone works an external microphone.
Recording Settings
To get the best quality video recordings, it is recommended to use the following two settings.
Auto focus
Click on the video icon on right bottom corner of the screen (Outlined in Red).
Scroll down until you find ‘Focus’ field and click on it.
If you see ‘MF’ on left bottom corner, you can disregard the following steps.
Click on the icon located at left bottom corner (outlined in teal).
Select ‘MF’.
Auto White balance
Click on the icon (outlined in red) on right bottom corner of the screen (Outlined in Red).
Scroll down until you find 'White balance' field and click on it.
You will see four options with different icons.
Select the option that says 'AWB' (Outlined in purple).
