Light Microscope Image Capture and Editing

To capture images with the Jenoptik light microscope camera:

  1. Login to the computer using the following credentials:
    1. Username:  .\Microscope
    2. Password:   Knox1837
        
  2.  Double click on the ProgRes Capture Pro icon:

  3. The Program will open and immediately begin displaying an image from the microscope.
       
  4. The PrgRes capture program will open.  If no image is presented, click the green Live button to view the current image.
       
  5. You may adjust the image display by using the tools listed under the tabs on the left hand side of the screen.
       
  6. Click the Capture button.   (If the capture button is grayed out, click the green Live button).
         

        
  7.  The image will be captured and automatically saved in the Captured Images folder.  The files are labeled with the current date, followed by a sequence number (-001, -002, -003...).

 

To edit an image in Photoshop:

  1. Open the folder for the desired image (default is Captured Images).

  2. Double click on the file.
      
  3. Photoshop will open, displaying the file in question.
