Scanning Electron Microscope Image Capture and Editing

To capture images from the Scanning Electron Microscope (SEM):

  1. Log in as:
    1. Username:  .\Microscope
    2. Password:  Knox1837

  2. Double click on EZX Grabber


       
  3.  EZ Grabber will open and should be displaying the current image from the SCM.  (In this sample case we're seeing an image from another camera)

  4. Click the "Camera " button.



  5.  The image will automatically be captured and saved to the desktop\captured images folder as a jpg file.  The file will be named with the date and time of the capture.   e.g.  20140407-095543.jpg


To edit the image in Photoshop:
   
  1. Open the Captured Images folder located on the desktop.

  2. Double-click on the desired image. 
     
  3. The image should automatically open in Photoshop.
      
  4. Once edited in Photoshop, it is suggested you change the name of the file to someone more user friendly.
