IMPORTANT, PLEASE READ:

  • All uses of Harbach Theatre have to be approved by the theatre department.

  • The Theatre department may deny your request based on availability of the space.

  • The Theatre department does lighting for all events.

Familiarize yourself with the AV Equipment

AV Cabinet

Power Supply

The power supply must be turned on to produce any audio in Harbach theater.

Patch Panels

  • Harbach is outfitted with with patch panels. These patch panels connect microphones/receivers/headsets/speakers on stage to the mixer in the audio/lighting booth.

  1. To utilize a patch panel, connect a device listed above to either the stage left / stage right / upstage panel.

    1. To connect a microphone/receiver, use ports:

      1. SL1 / SL2 / SL3 / SL4 / SL5 / SL6

      2. SR1 / SR2 / SR3 / SR4 / SR5 / SR6

      3. US1 / US2 / US3 / US4

    2. To connect a headset, use ports:

      1. ICOM A / B

    3. To connect a speaker, use ports:

      1. SLA / SLB

      2. SRA / SRB

      3. US1 / US2 / US3 / US4

  2. In the audio booth, connect from the patch panel to the mixer.

    1. Use a XLR cable from the patch panel port you selected on stage: SL / SR / US

    2. Connect the other end of the XLR cable to the appropriate port on the mixer or ICOM system.

      1. If you are using a microphone/receiver on stage, you would connect these to an input on the mixer.

      2. If you are using a headset, you would connect this to one of the ICOM boxes found around the booth.

      3. If you are using a speaker on stage, you would connect this to an output on the mixer.

  3. Note: It is helpful to use white tape to label the input/output faders on the mixer so you know which microphone/speaker is which.

    1. Try to use an order that makes sense.

      1. If you connect from SL1 / SL2 / SL3, use inputs 1/2/3 on the mixer in the same order.

Note: The following devices must be turned on for any audio to be produced in the theater.

Projection

The projector is commonly located in the Audio/Lighting booth.

You will need the projector power cord, an extension cord, and an HDMI cable to use the projector.

For projection, you will need to find this table. It is usually located in the back of the stage. Place the table over the top back row of seats.

Projector Screen

The projector screen is the large white surface near the back of the stage. To use it, you will have to move all other curtains out of the way, as shown below.
