Changes to Audio levels

IMPORTANT: PLEASE READ BEFORE CONTINUING

  • All audio adjustments should be made on the device transmitting audio first. (Examples: Phone/Laptop/Tablet)

    • Audio adjustments should be made on the Android tablet after that.

      • Do not adjust audio on the other devices installed in the cabinet as this can cause issues for others.

  • If the audio is distorted or sounds “blown out”, turn down the audio from either the device or the system.

Audio System On/Off

Note: View images of the system in different stages of off/on below.

  1. Turn the system on/off via a key switch on the left side of equipment rack.

  2. The system will ramp up in a sequenced order.

    1. Wait a couple of minutes to be sure that everything is turned on.

Bose ControlSpace App

Note: To make changes to any sources or outputs, launch the Bose ControlSpace app on the 7” Android-pad located in the rack.

  • In the bottom left/right corners of each page, you will find the ‘Turn Page’ arrow.

Wireless Microphones

  • Wireless1 = JTS handheld transmitter powers on/off/mute via a small red button on bottom end of the microphone. (Note: Do not use a pen or screwdriver to push button.)

  • Wireless2 = Shure handheld transmitter powers on/off via a switch on front of microphone.

Troubleshooting Wireless Microphones

  1. Using the JTS Microphone (Wireless1)?

    1. Be sure the JTS UF-20S Receiver is turned on by pressing the power button.

  1. Using the Shure Microphone (Wireless2)?

    1. Be sure the Shure ULXD4 Receiver is turned on by pressing the power switch.

  1. Wireless Microphones not turning on?

    1. Need new batteries. Open the battery compartment by twisting the bottom of the microphone off.

Connection plate at West bleachers

  • This connection plate is located on the middle of the West bleachers at shin height on the bottom section of the bleachers.

  • These connections are automatically muted upon launching the Bose ControlSpace app. (Note: When connecting/disconnecting cables, the system may “pop” unless the channel is muted.)

    • You may connect wired microphones to “Mic1” and “Mic2”.

    • “MixLeft” and “MixRight” are reserved for connecting a mixer or mic preamp.

Bluetooth Connection

  • The light above the power switch indicates power. (outlined in red)

  • The ‘Output Level’ knob (outlined in green) is set near the middle to prevent blasting music upon connection. Do not adjust. If you do need to for a reason, turn it back to the middle when finished.

  • DN-300BR will not receive audio from a phone call.

  • While using Bluetooth, we recommend disabling your cellular connection, if possible.

    • If you do not disable your cellular connection, any notification noise will play over the speakers.

Pair Device to Bluetooth

  1. Make sure “Bluetooth” channel is unmuted on the Bose ControlSpace app. (outlined in red)

  1. Make sure your desired Bluetooth device has its Bluetooth connectivity on and is within range.

    1. DN-300BR will automatically try to pair with a previously paired Bluetooth device within range, if any.

      1. If you are using that Bluetooth device again, you can start playing audio immediately.

  2. If you want to use a different Bluetooth device, press DN-300BR’s Pair button for 3 seconds.

    1. There is a pairing button on the outside of the AV cabinet on the left. (shown below)

    2. There is a pairing button on the Denon device. (outlined in gold above)

    3. The Status Light will start flashing quickly. (outlined in gold above)

  3. On your Bluetooth device, enter its Bluetooth settings menu, and select DN-300BR.

    1. When DN-300BR successfully pairs to a Bluetooth device, the Status Light will stop flashing and remain lit. (Note: Some older Bluetooth devices may require you to enter a PIN. If this is the case, enter 0000 as the PIN.)

  4. If no device pairs within 60 seconds, DN-300BR will exit pairing mode and the Status Light will flash slowly. To re-enter pairing mode, press DN-300BR's Pair button for 3 seconds.

  5. On your Bluetooth device, start playing audio.

Unpair Device from Bluetooth

To unpair your Bluetooth device from DN-300BR, do one of the following:

  • Enter your Bluetooth device’s Bluetooth settings menu, and disconnect from DN-300BR.

  • Press and hold DN-300BR’s Pair button for 3 seconds, and then release it.

    • DN-300BR will unpair from your Bluetooth device, remove it from the memory of the Bluetooth module, and be available to pair to another device.

Media Cable

NOTE: The Media Cable audio is MUTED upon starting up the system. When connecting/disconnecting the media cable, the system may pop unless the channel is muted.

  • The Media Cable is hanging from the left side of the AV cabinet.

Plugging in to the Media Cable

  1. Turn down the Media volume on your device.

  2. Connect to the media cable.

    1. Be sure you have the correct phone or smart device adapter to connect to 3.5mm cable.

  3. Unmute the Media Cable on the Bose ControlSpace app on page 2.

  4. Turn up the volume on your device to a comfortable level.

Unplugging the Media Cable

  1. Mute the Media Cable on the Bose ControlSpace app on page 2.

  2. Unplug the Media Cable.

Speaker System Zone Layout

On page three and four of android touchscreen controller, adjustments can be made to four individual zones. Master volume faders and mutes are available for each.

  1. West Side (Has the Connection plate on the bottom row of the bleachers)

  2. East Side

  3. Center (Over the court)

  4. North End (Bleachers near main entrance.)

  5. Subs (The subwoofers are located under each end of the bleachers.)

Lighting Controls

  • There are two breaker boxes that control the lights in the Memorial Gym Basketball Court.

  • Both are located on the same wall of the gym.
