Zoom - Installer Fails / Stops Running / 10006 Error

NOTE: This issue was generally fixed on the afternoon of 09/17/20. Cylance was blocking the install of Zoom.
Windows end-users report the inability to install under their profile. The installer may hang, not respond, or fail with a 10006 error.
The fix
This is an: “I dunno why it works fix…”
Download the installer.
Move the installer to the root of the C:\
Log in as the end-user
Once logged in, DISCONNECT from the network
Wireless - just click disconnect.
Wired
pull the ethernet cable
- or -Use Network settings to disable the connection.
Use File Explorer to access your c:\ drive
Locate and double-click on the Zoom installer.
Once the install is complete, Zoom will try to open.
You may get a series of Ok to use this file message. If so, click to allow the use of the files.
Reconnect to the network.
Wait for your screen to refresh.
Ideally, Zoom will be available on your Start Menu and Desktop.
If not, Open File Explorer
Navigate to the C:\ Zoom Folder
Click and drag the “Launch Zoom” icon to your desktop.
You may also right-click on this file and add it to the start panel.
