Register my device
Note: Modern gaming devices have a web browser. Once you have followed the directions for Connect to KnoxTronics, open the web browser and follow the steps for “Devices with a web browser” below.
Devices with a web browser
Go to the Home screen
Open a web browser (Chrome, Firefox, Safari, etc.)
Go to knoxaccess.knox.edu
The Knox College Network Policies page will appear.
Review the Acceptable Use Policy
Before registering a mobile device, go to your network settings. Change the MAC address from “Randomized MAC” or “Private Wi-Fi Address” and select Phone MAC.
Select Agree.
You will see a page that says “Welcome” next.
For a device with a web browser, select option 1.
When the registration page appears, follow the on screen instructions.
For your username, type your full email address.
Your password is the same as your email password.
You will see a page that says “Success”.
Wait until the timer is completed.
You will be prompted to close and reopen your browser. Do this now.
Your device is now registered on the Knox-Wireless or Knoxtronics network depending on which one you were attempting to connect to.
If this does not work, please contact the Knox ITS Helpdesk for further assistance. We may need to review your currently registered devices.
Devices without a web browser
Connect the device to KnoxTronics.
You will be connected without internet at this point.
On a computer or mobile device, open a web browser (Chrome, Firefox, Safari, etc.)
Go to http://knoxaccess.knox.edu/registration/GameRegister.jsp
You will need to locate the MAC address of the device. Instructions vary by device type, utilize a web search (use the exact brand and model number followed by “locate mac address”) for assistance in locating the MAC address for your specific device. You may need to read through the user manual if a quick search does not work.
Once you have located the MAC address, enter the information below:
Knox Username with the @knox.edu
Your password for your Knox email account.
The MAC address.
For device type select the option that fits best.
If you don’t see your device type, select “Other”.
Click Register.
You will see a page that says “Success”.
Wait until the timer is completed.
You will be prompted to close and reopen your browser. Do this now.
Your device is now registered on the KnoxTronics network.
