Connect Android OS to Knox-Wireless
Important: If you have attempted to connect to Wi-Fi by way of the Knox Guest Access network, these steps will not work.
Make sure to forget the Knox Guest Access network prior to connecting to Knox-Wireless.
Connect an Android OS to Knox-Wireless
Note: If you have a Google Pixel, see Connect Device to KnoxTronics. All other Android OS devices should follow the steps below.
Locate your Wi-Fi Settings
Turn on the Wi-Fi
Tap on Knox-Wireless
Identity: Your Knox Email Username (without the @knox.edu)
Password: Your Knox Email Password
CA Certificate: Do Not Check or Do Not Validate
Turn on “Auto reconnect”
You may need to hit “View More” here.
Phase 2 Authentication: MSCHAPv2
Anonymous Identity: Leave Blank
IP Settings: DHCP
Proxy: None
Metered Network: Detect Automatically
Mac address type: Phone MAC
Important: If you have “Randomized MAC” instead, this will fill up your registered device seats, causing future issues. Ensure this is correct now before proceeding.
Tap Connect, and if necessary, tap “Always Connect” when prompted.
The Wi-Fi symbol should appear at the top of the android screen with an exclamation point next to it.
Be sure to Register your device next.
