Familiarize yourself with the room

AV Cabinet

Main PC

When the PC is on, the light illuminates WHITE, if you find the PC turned off, press the power button once. 

Do not shut down the main pc.

When finished, log off of the main pc.

If you think the PC is unresponsive, press and hold the power button for a few seconds to force a shut down, wait a few seconds, and then press the power button once to turn it on.

Video Switcher

The video switcher helps select between multiple incoming video sources.

  • Identify the correct input number for your device connection and select it by pressing the appropriate button.

  • The active selection is backlit with a red light.

Room Audio

Note: Make all audio adjustments on the main PC.

  • Click the speaker icon (outlined in red).

  • Drag the slider on the bar left to turn down and right to turn up the volume (outlined in green).

The computer volume is muted if you see the speaker icon with an “x” next to it (outlined in red/green).

  • To unmute the computer, click the speaker icon with the “x” that is outlined in green.

Master Volume Knob

All volume changes should be made on the computer first, then on the “Master” volume control knob.

Amplifier

All volume changes should be made on the “Master” volume control knob shown below.

Power switch: This switch can power on or power off the amplifier. The amplifier is necessary to power the speakers. If the amplifier is turned off, you will have no audio to the room speakers, which in this room, are hanging from the ceiling.

Green circle: Indicates that the amplifier has power when the light is illuminated green.

Note: The knobs highlight in red on the right side of the amplifier are to be set directly in the middle, pointing straight up. If you set them to the far right, you will distort the audio. If you set them to the left, you will have no audio.

Blu-Ray player

Press the Power button in the top right corner of the remote to turn on the player.

Other functions of the remote are listed here:

Projector

To turn on: Press the power button once (outlined in red). Wait for the projection to load.

To turn off: Press the power button, twice. A message should appear between presses that asks if you are sure you want to shut off.

Source Search: Press this button to cycle through the inputs for the projector only. This should only be used if you think you are on the wrong projector input, otherwise, use the video switcher to make the proper selection.

Freeze: This button will “freeze” the projection. The display will stay the same regardless of what you do in the computer. Press the button again to “unfreeze” and the projection will go on as usual.

 

Electric projector screen

To lower the projector screen: Press DOWN

To raise the projector screen: Press UP

To stop the screen at one position: Press STOP

Do not attempt to raise or lower the screen manually.

The button control panel can be found to the right of the projector screen when facing it.

When the screen is fully extended, it will almost touch the chalkboard shelf.
