Familiarize yourself with the technology
Inside AV Cabinet (top to bottom):

Main PC
When the PC is on, the light illuminates WHITE, if you find the PC turned off, press the power button once.
Jiggle the mouse or press the keyboard to wake the computer.
Sign in to the computer with your username and password.
Do not shut down the main PC.
When finished, log off of the main PC.
Troubleshooting the computer
If you think the PC is unresponsive, press and hold the power button for a few seconds to force a shut down, wait a few seconds, and then press the power button once to turn it on.
Video Switcher
The video switcher helps select between multiple incoming video sources.
Identify the correct input number for your device connection and select it by pressing the appropriate button
The active selection is backlit with a red light
#1 - Main PC
#2 - Not in use
#3 - Sony DVD / Blu-Ray / Multi-region player
#4 - Guest HDMI
#5 - Document Camera
#6 - Guest VGA
#7 - Sony VHS / DVD
#8 - Not in use
Sony DVD / Blu-Ray / Multi-Region
The power button is outlined in red.
The disc eject button is outlined in green.
The disc tray is outlined in gold.
Region Free Blu-ray Region change instructions:
Standard DVD Regions 0-8 (region free-code Free)
These are set to automatic - just insert the disc and press play.
To change regions
Blu-ray Regions are changed manually with remote.
Turn player on and open the tray.
Once the tray is completely open and not moving press a button on the remote to select regions.
Zone A: Press the YELLOW button on the remote control.
Zone B: Press the BLUE button on the remote control.
Zone C: Press the RED button on the remote control.
You can now put your disc in the tray and then close the tray.
Troubleshooting:
If your Disc does not play do the following:
Open the tray again and leave the disc in the tray. Once fully open press the color button to select the region. Then close the tray.
Firmware updates - Firmware updates can be done via the internet. To update players firmware; go to the home menu, then setup menu, and then go to Software update. You must have the player connected to the internet. Click on Update Via Internet and if there is a new firmware the player will automatically update. DO not turn the player off while it is updating.
Sony DVD / VHS
Press the power button (highlighted in red) to turn on the Sony DVD/VHS player.
Be sure the switch (highlighted in gold) is set to DVD/Video (to the right).
Press the eject button (highlighted in green).
Insert DVD/VHS and hit play.
Room Audio
Note: Make all audio adjustments on the main PC first.
Click the speaker icon (outlined in red).
Drag the slider on the bar left to turn down and right to turn up the volume (outlined in green).
The computer volume is muted if you see the speaker icon with an “x” next to it (outlined in red/green).
To unmute the computer, click the speaker icon with the “x” that is outlined in green.
Amplifier
Red outlined button: This button can power on or power off the amplifier. Turn it on for any audio needs.
Green outlined button: It is the master volume knob and can control all audio output from all sources.
Input Knobs: Only turn on the one that is necessary. In this case, everything is on “Input 1”.
Input 1: Everything
Input 2: Not in use (leave off)
Input 3: Not in use (leave off)
Input 4: Not in use (leave off)
Input 5: Not in use (leave off)
Input 6: Not in use (leave off)
Input 7: Not in use (leave off)
Input 8: Not in use (leave off)
Projector
Point the remote at the front of the projector.
Turning on the projector: Press “On” once (outlined in red).
Turning off the projector: Press “Off” twice (outlined in green).
Projector Screen
The projector screen is manual and there is a string at the bottom center.
To raise the screen, pull the screen by the string out away from the chalkboard a couple of feet, pull down, and release, allowing the screen to retract.
To lower the screen, pull down on the string and let go near the chalkboard shelf for full extension.
Document Camera
Ceiling Mounted Camera
Knox ITS supports the use of the camera with Zoom/Google Meet. However, the camera may be used with most commonly used video conferencing software e.g. Skype, GoToMeeting, Adobe Connect, JoinMe.
Using the ceiling mounted camera in a virtual session:
Start your virtual session.
The camera will auto turn on, but will not automatically start sending video.
To send camera video to the stream, click the “Start Video” button outlined in red below.
You may toggle video and off using this button.
