Familiarize yourself with the technology
TV
To turn the TV on - press the power button (outlined in red).
To bring up the input menu - press the home button and then go left to the source option on the TV (outlined in green).
To switch inputs - use the arrow up and down buttons (outlined in gold).
If the remote is unresponsive, replace the batteries with fresh ones.
To change inputs - press the home button (outlined in green), then use the arrow left button (outlined in gold) to the source menu. Then use the arrow up to select the input you are using.

Remote Access
Main PC
The Main PC is located behind the TV.
When the PC is on, the light illuminates WHITE, if you find the PC turned off, press the power button once.
Jiggle the mouse or press the keyboard to wake the computer.
Sign in to the computer with your username and password.
Do not shut down the main PC.
When finished, log off of the main PC.
Troubleshooting the computer
If you think the PC is unresponsive, press and hold the power button for a few seconds to force a shut down, wait a few seconds, and then press the power button once to turn it on.
Wireless keyboard
Look for the ON switch on the side of the keyboard.
The green/white light indicates that the keyboard is on.
If they keyboard is unresponsive, the batteries need to be replaced.
If the batteries have been replaced with fresh ones, check the computer to see if there is a USB receiver.
Wireless Mouse
If they mouse is unresponsive, the batteries need to be replaced.
If the batteries have been replaced with fresh ones, check the connection to the computer and make sure the USB is plugged in.
Room Audio
Note: Make all audio adjustments on the main PC first.
Click the speaker icon (outlined in red).
Drag the slider on the bar left to turn down and right to turn up the volume (outlined in green).
The computer volume is muted if you see the speaker icon with an “x” next to it (outlined in red/green).
To unmute the computer, click the speaker icon with the “x” that is outlined in green.
Use the TV remote to turn the volume up or down as needed.
Push the volume bar up to turn the volume up.
Push the volume bar down to turn the volume down.
Display Connection
The TV can display Samsung TV Plus, the SMC D105 PC, Remote Access (through Airplay or screen mirroring), and a wired HDMI can be used to display your device’s screen on the TV.
Samsung TV Plus
You can use Samsung Plus to watch movies and web series.
In order to go to the Samsung TV Plus, follow the steps below:
Press the home button on the remote (outlined in green)
Press the left button (outlined in gold) to go to the source menu.
Press the up button (outlined in gold) to go to the inputs.
Press the right or the left button (outlined in gold) to go to Samsung TV option.
Press the center circular button (outlined in gold) to open the Samsung TV Plus.
SMC D105 PC
You can log in to your Knox account when the input on the TV is on SMC D105 PC.
In order to go to the SMC D105 PC, follow the steps below:
Press the home button on the remote (outlined in green)
Press the left button (outlined in gold) to go to the source menu.
Press the up button (outlined in gold) to go to the inputs.
Press the right or the left button (outlined in gold) to go to SMC D105 PC option.
Press the center circular button (outlined in gold) to open the SMC D105 PC.
Airplay
You can view your Apple screen on the TV using Airplay. Airplay Does not require any input on the TV to be turned on. It will be automatically on when the TV is on.
Turn on Wifi and Bluetooth on your Mac.
To utilize the wireless connections, you must be connected to KnoxTronics on your laptop.
Go to your WIFI settings and choose KnoxTronics.
Enter the password: AsDfGW2481632
In the upper right corner of your Mac, click this button.
Choose screen mirroring from this menu.
If the TV is turned on and the Input is on Airplay, you will see them appear as “Samsung 8 Series”.
Once you have selected which TV screen you want to cast to, look at the TV screen for the four-digit code.
The TV will display the name of your computer as a confirmation.
Enter the four-digit code on your computer.
Once you enter the four-digit code, your computer will automatically cast to the TV.
Remote Access (Screen Mirroring)
You can view your screen on the TV using Remote Access.
In order to use remote access, scroll through the source menu to change the input.
Using the circular button on the remote (outlined in gold), open the remote access tab.
Select “Screen Sharing” depending on which one you want on the TV.
On the Laptop, open the Action Center in the notification area on the taskbar.
Select Connect or Project to complete the connection by selecting the TV named “Samsung 8 Series” on your Laptop.
HDMI connection
You can connect your computer to the TV using an HDMI cable.
Using the HDMI cable available with the TV, connect it to your PC.
The TV will automatically change the input to display your PC projection on it.
If that doesn’t happen, use the circular button on the remote (outlined in gold) to scroll through the source menu to select the PC option.
The TV will then display your PC through HDMI.
