Offline Syncing for Google Drive File Stream

Laptop users of Google Drive File Stream may wish to work offline.  A small adjust to Google Drive File Stream will allow for offline access and syncing back to Google Drive once back on-line.


Setting Up Offline Access

  1. If not already completed, install Google Drive File Stream.
  2. Open File Explorer
  3. Open Google Drive File Stream 
  4. Right click on My Drive
  5. From the drop down menu, click on Drive File Stream.
  6. From the drop down menu, click  on Available offline.
  7. Close the Windows.
  8. Offline access in now enabled.

Once reconnected to the internet, Drive File Stream will sync all changed files.
